Winter 2021 LC Thread—I Want Sous Vide

When the super soldier took out those bottles I thought he was going to smash them over his head Three Stooges-style.

Chimps probably have great memories because evolution has selected for individuals that don’t need to pause to remember which of your limbs or other appendages they’ve already torn off so they can get on with the rest of their day looking for apple bits.

Apple bits, by the way, are pretty tasty if you put sprinkle on some lemon juice and sugar and serve with some yogurt.

Carnies have been doing this stuff since forever. It’s about as real as professional wrestling.

Maybe it’s so they can instantly recognize other chimps by the size and shape of their enormous inside-out butts.

Those soldiers will be super useful when North Korea ever gets attacked by slabs of concrete.

You clearly don’t understand disruption. They had to
Build a website.
Get lucky with the snowballing of network effects to be able to make monopoly profits.
Nothing else.

That sort of disruption, innovation, and efficiency should be rewarded.

Sorry, but “Brain Flakes” don’t sound that appetizing. Maybe Frosted Brain Flakes?

The fact that it’s “brain flakes” is so good

At my warehouse job when we get a container the 2 founders of the company pitch in and unload it with me, and the part time person that comes to help us at $18/hr actually just stands there and fills orders and keeps the warehouse running while we do the unloading.

I’m mad people have enough money to spend that much on fucking art, but yeah that was awesome

Not sure if everybody has already done it, but TVG.com is running a deposit $500, get $250 bonus for horseracing. You only have to run the $250 through once, and then can cash out your $500 plus anything you might win.

Think the play is to bet $250 on a huge favorite to show.

I guess there’s a $25 referral link for me, if you want to do it. But it’s not a big deal to me if you want to go direct to TVG and skip the referral link.

Check the T+C, only valid for 21 US states.

Also, since this is a freebet (ie you can only withdraw winnings and not the original 250 bonus) correct is to bet it on longshot(s). Your expectation increases as odds increase. For example, if you bet it at even money, you win 250 half the time for an expectation of 125. If you bet it at +200, you win 500 a third of the time for +167. This assumes zero juice and heavy longshots are often highly juiced, so around +500 tends to be the sweet spot.

I can’t be bothered reading the T+C again but if it lets you divide the bonus over multiple bets, betting a bunch of different +500 ish things is the way to go. But often these promos require using the bonus in one bet.

Thanks for the detailed dive. My buddy gave me the details and I’m just following his guidance. I don’t know shit about horseracing.

Here’s the states it is valid in:

Arizona,
Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana,
Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota,
Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming

And the T&C’s don’t mention having to bet it all at once.

I think this picture is even more amazing than the painting.

I don’t know how people choose to be traffic cops or ticket checkers on train and shit like that.

Like how do you not hate yourself when you’re done with work? Your job is to make the lives of others miserable. I sat on a tram, took my phone out to input the code to purchase a ticket by SMS and before I can complete it, I’m asked for my ticket. Of course, I’m technically on the train without a ticket and pay a 1,000 koruna fine (about $45) as a result.
