Going almost 4 minutes for a kids joke punchline (the moth bit) is just outstanding.
But doing a bit about someone else’s bit (Rodney) is just next level.

I’ve always thought Norm was one of the funniest guys in the world, but watching his old material yesterday after he died there are a lot of just hateful jokes towards women and trans people… I think I’d rather enjoy my memories of his comedy than going back to revisit it.

There were definitely some jokes on that weekend update video I posted that wouldn’t fly today. There was also a Trump joke.
I don’t think he was Trumpkin. He retweeted Andrew Yang on twitter. Furthermore most of his tweets were sports and sports gambling related while most Trumpkins post dumb right wing memes nonstop.
There was slight twitter controversy when he wished Trump a swift recovery from covid but claimed he is not a Trumper.

I think he likely had some very questionable views on some subjects that might make him not such a great guy but I don’t think he was a Trumper at least.

And another layer to the story is revealed.
A student in my Miami class called corporate to complain that many students in the class use “broken English.”
This is, of course, not true. Many of them speak English with an accent characteristic of growing up in a Spanish-speaking household. One of them speaks with a heavy French accent-- he is the only one who is sometimes difficult to understand, but not at all impossible.
In Miami of all places. The complainer should have taken my Boca class, where on the first day a student came in and said “omg you guys GPS took me to a ghetto neighborhood and I knocked on a door, thank God they didn’t answer,” another student is a Charlie Kirk wannabe that forces me to moderate myself in class because I know he’s trying to set me up, and the time before class yesterday was spent asking me how I could survive in Miami since everyone speaks Spanish.
Only a few more weeks in Florida…
