wait, who is mad about this? guys who fap to VS catalogs?
I have to assume most of the people dumping cash into these funds are doing it for reasons other than maximizing returns. It’s essentially conspicuous consumption for them. “yeah I got into Fund X” or whatever at the club.
ETA: also there’s the fact that rich people are a lot dumber than people think and they’re just getting hoodwinked
holy shit, that means hedge funds are actually good?
Basically, yes. I was mainly struck by how much the mere mention of Rapinoe’s name got those jimmies rustlin’, but it was also pretty obviously from a bunch of losers.
Yeah… Keep the cookies story off UP unstuckers

Love the homeboys playing hearts or spades or w/e.
A lot of guys don’t like having their attitudes toward women challenged. They associate the VS catalogue with the objectification of women, which they think is good. Having people suggest changes to it should change implies that they should change, which they don’t like.
Awesome. I actually prefer not to read the article because I don’t want to know the details, it’s great as is.
Watching the football. Err soccer will do that
Yo dawg, what happened to, “From my cold dead hands”?
Good news, everyone! The housing problem has been solved.
Probably safe to say this plane cannot be DE-ICED.
Who doesn’t love camping!
You better buy one of those tents for $700,000 while you can, they’ll cot $800,000 soon!
i can’t quite decide if #vanlife trend is people rebelling against consumerism and landlords, or corporate propaganda to normalize declining home ownership and homelessness.
Personally I think the wealthiest among us should just buy up large plots of land. Then they can let us live on that land in exchange for working for them rather than paying us and having us hand the money right back. It’s a more efficient system than renting, so I don’t understand why no one has thought of this before.
Most people living in vans are trying to avoid homelessness. Lots of people even living in fancy expensive vans are doing it because they can’t afford a house anymore (who can?) and are avoiding rent. There are a lot of rich people with fancy vans that are only using them for little vacation/trips, but I don’t think that’s a huge part of #vanlife.
Maybe I’ll trip report the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous if it’s next January.
