No, you think spending no money on a country’s defense is the right approach. I think that is sweet summer child thinking and impossible today. Somewhere between 0 and the amount the US spends there is an appropriate number that can and should be debated, but not spending money on defense is just hippy thinking.

Sure, but they’re not getting invaded. If USA just wanted to not be in Ukraine’s shoes, the only defense it would need is like 1/100th (maybe 1/30th to be sure) of its nuclear capability and nothing else.
And most people are cowards.

I don’t disagree. I’d love it if we didn’t practice war no more, but we’re a long way from being able to do that.
Chairman Kim says the #1 thing is to have a strong military, otherwise you get invaded by the puppets of international capital. 100% of gdp is surely too high, but it’s probably around there
