Top headline, total nonsense propaganda, literally should have been out of the new cycle in one day. But nooooooo, gotta have our horse race clickbait! Motherfuckers

Good to see the comments are mostly dragging WaPo and not chasing their trail trying to refute nonsense BS.

Can we get one fucking story on Trump’s dementia instead of “Walz responds to criticism of his service record”? Please?

No. Consider yourself lucky that the headlines are not all “Walz responds to claim he’s a pedophile”

The media wants Trump sooooooo bad. Look how every network ran his entire “press conference” without fact checking in which no questions were asked then ran 0 minutes of Harris’ rally the same day. It’s not subtle. They are 100% in on it.

Just lol to the “the media didn’t learn its lesson in 2016” takes. Yes they did. They got what they wanted and now are doing everything possible to get it again with the exact same playbook.

It’s not QUITE that conspiratorial, but yeah it essentially functions as if it were anyway

Democracy is staged

It’s not a conspiracy at all. Just bargain basement selfishness. It benefits them if Trump wins.

“Just before Trump stepped up to the podium, one of his advisors texted me the wry assessment that Donald Trump is “never boring!!” (the exclamation marks were his).”

It’s as simple as that. The press know it’s entertaining, so they go along with it

So consent is manufactured… What consent though?

I tried to watch one of his rallies and in fact he’s super fucking boring. One potnetially funny piece of weirdness about sharks ain’t worth 2 hours of snoozefest.

It definitely benefits Comcast and its shareholders if corporate taxes get cut from 21% to 15% percent, which is what Trump is proposing. But, still, I think it’s mostly not planned and they just get more eyeballs with Trump whether that’s from supporters or hate-watching. Where’s the Harris-Tweet-Bot thread for everyone here who hangs on every word that Harris puts out?

What? I don’t even understand how this is possible unless your entire business model is hoping people forget to cancel

So the newspaper is now a gym membership. Got it.

It almost certainly is. A ton of local
Newspapers use a third party service to handle their subscriptions that is a massive scam to keep you subscribed and to raise the rates on you.

I do this dance with the LA Times. Subscribe at promotional rate, set calendar notification to call and cancel a few days before promotional rate expires, accept new promotional rate from the CSR.

I was in store yesterday and saw the newsstand price for a week day edition of the Dallas morning news was $3.99. That seems insane. I don’t read the paper anymore, but I used to read three or four papers a day. I realize the newsstand price is the highest price but that is still crazy. I assume Sunday paper has to be $8-$10. Not to mention the paper is 25% of the thickness when I used to read it.
