Thanks, Washington Post, for giving my dad the chance to say, “Even the liberal Washington Post thinks this was political hackery…”
Fucking assholes.

I’ve always heard the assertion that writers don’t actually write their own headlines. That may be true, but who does? When they go on a diner safari to talk to real Americans, do they end the interview by saying, “Thanks, and now here’s a card entitling you to write 5 headlines of your choice”
Anyway, they’ve edited it.
This is changing somewhat in the digital era, as a lot of outlets don’t have editors or headline writers anymore. But the more traditional print media outlets certainly have both. There’s someone who’s full-time job is to write headlines, which means now-a-days being clickbaity while trying not to look clickbaity or dishonest.

Did the Pitchbot write this for NPR?
Sounds like some bullshit Ann Landers would have said.
That’s not a super uncommon opinion, unfortunately.
Kids are old and mature enough to be shot by a lunatic with an assault rifle during class, but don’t you dare say a dirty word in front of them!
To anyone who laughed at that, you may think cursing is funny, motherfucker, but NPR does not!
Haha we’re now posting retractions and corrections to personal Twitter accounts
