gonna hold a bit of this:
some of this:
and probably a touch of:
What’s this referring to? I googled but didn’t see anything.
https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/545502-the-false-promise-of-modern-monetary-theory
This article came up in my feed, and being someone who is intrigued by MMT, I thought I should read it. I’ve read or heard criticisms of MMT before, and I like to have my beliefs challenged. Then as I’m reading the article, I’m like wtf, who wrote this? It must be a libertarian or right winger, but probably not an actual economist or expert.
So, who was author? Chris Talgo, Senior Editor at the Heartland Institute.
Who is the Heartland Institute? Sure enough, a libertarian and conservative public policy institute known for:
Rachel Campos-Duffy can barely keep her eyes open due to excessive eye glitter on Fox Primetime.
Big Jeanine Pirro energy.
Maddow spent 16 minutes talking about some nobody tax collector guy in FL before tying him to #PizzaGaetz nice work
Rachel is far and away the best on tv giving background and context of all things politics. One comes away much more informed, and usually entertained to boot.
but I just want the dunks
You may not be wrong, but she also makes some serious mistakes the other way, blabbing way, way too much about shit no one cares about before getting to the actual point. I didn’t watch this segment to know which bin it falls into.
Hey New York Times,
SWEEPING LIBERAL WISH LIST?
Fuck you.
Yes, she definitely has a tendency to not get to the point, or beat it into the ground, no doubt. But with detailed and relevant background to a story she and her staff are excellent. In this case you learn about Gaetz’s scumbag Florida buddy and get a real feel for what may be going on with this weird case. Bonus picture of the scumbag trio of Gaetz, Greenberg, and Roger Stone( Stone not implicated in anything here, just another spot where he is pictured with known lowlifes).
A sweeping pro-democracy wish list. Maybe the writer didn’t understand the context that it’s not supposed to only be democrats who are interested in keeping the country (nominally) a democracy. That is really on most people’s wish lists imo. I mean obviously the GOP want as little democracy as possible but they are supposed to have to lie about that or face some scrutiny from “the paper of record” (lol).
Biden as an irresponsible dog owner is an interesting twist.
WHAT DID HE KNOW ABOUT THE DOGGY DOO DOO AND WHEN DID HE KNOW IT!?!?!?!?!?!,!
This was the last political thread I still followed here.
NEW TONE!
