Speaking of password security questions, I had a troll on IG with a fake model account slide in the DMs and start asking me probing questions to get password reset answers and I was bored in quarantine, so…

I asked her her mother’s maiden name. She said Mary, then asked mine… I said Magdelene.

Then she just randomly blurted out Jeffrey, so I asked if she knew Alshon. She asked who that was, and I said he was the man and I knew him a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.

She asked me my first car and I told her it was a 1982 DeLorean, not much to look at but a wild ride when you got it up to 88 mph.

The jig still wasn’t up, so I invited her to a party and told her for security I was running background checks and needed her social security number… That’s when she finally figured it out.

I was laughing hysterically for a few minutes though, sending my buddy screen shots. I can’t believe people actually fall for that.

I’ve never seen either of these as a security question, but I can’t be the only person on the planet that doesn’t answer those with real answers, right?

Like if they ask the name of my best friend, I have an answer, and it’s the same answer so I remember it, but it’s not really the name of my real best friend.

I always lie. I’ve even come across old, uncommon questions where I forgot what I answered but successfully guessed the right lie.

Done this with 1 of the security Q’s on a poker site, luckily I had verification with ID etc sent in… Name of my 1st Car, trying to explain to the customer service person was unreal tho.

For some financial stuff that’s more secure, they verify your identity with a series of questions that usually includes “Which of these streets did you live on?”

Yeah, any time I’m trying to steal someone’s identity and the street options are:

  1. maple
  2. lake
  3. main
  4. toothbrush

I know that the person pulled a skydiver and it’s toothbrush.
