I don’t think they go out of their way to police it. He said he could’ve still been profitable even without the players card and points but that it did add a decent chunk to his profits.
I think they would rather the money go back into the pockets of losing players as it’s significantly more likely to get recycled back into the casino if it’s won by a casual than a pro.
I think this is wrong from the perspective of the casino. If the money is coming out of the machine, they want it going in the hands of people who will play more -EV slots (for the player), not someone who will only put it towards further +EV opportunities.
For sure but its not nearly as bad for the house as a successful counter or sports bettor. I doubt they spend much resources fighting it
Here’s an example of an exploitable machine. I scope these every time I’m at a casino. I rarely find one that’s ready to pop but it occasionally does happen.
I am in town for a wedding until Saturday. Someone booked their wedding same weekend that we have Pearl Jam tickets at Wrigley. We are doing both. And probably back at lake in WI by Sunday.
Cliffs of my quick trip:
Got in Thursday. Checked in at Golden Nugget and my partner jumps in an uber to go to a Bachelorette party. I jump in an Uber to go to Nuwu to pick up some cannabis. I roll really bad and driver takes me to the Nuwu drive through and we get stuck there for like 15 minutes. Picked up a bunch of prerolls and I smoke one in their courtyard.
I play a poker session and win $50 in about 4 hrs. Gf gets back and wants sexy time. I take her to bed and once she passes out I go play for a couple of hours at a horrid table and lose $25. Its really wierd not being a local anymore.
Friday we wake up and eat at Hash House. Then we spend a few hours at the adults only pool. I am pissed I am not at whispers getting my voyeur fix. But alas we dont have time for that. By 5 we are at the wedding at the Italian American Club. It is a Star Wars themed wedding which was different. The food was pretty solid for a wedding buffet and the drinks were strong. Back to the hotel by 10 and we pass out as we had to leave for the airport by 7. We tried to smoke all the cannabis but ended up handing the leftovers to a group of youths on Freemont street who gladly appreciated the ~$20 of prerolls.
