What are you listening to

Sometimes I like to listen to moody lounge jazz like this:

But in the comments of one of these vids someone had the coolest suggestion: open a new tab and simultaneously play a video of thunder & rain (lowering the volume as necessary).

Prepare to relax and chill x10.

Bono’s voice after singing lessons is incredible at 60 years old.

in occupied palestine
near the birthsite of christ
caught some footage that you wouldn’t believe
that night on channel 7
ran a slanted segment
through the midwest on the mid-middle east
but you’ve told me how
you keep your volume down
cause all that’s coming from your humming tv
is bad energy

before the smokers crammed
between the local bands
to split a puff and flick their butts in the street
they played it loud and slow
without a metronome
he always hit a bit ahead of the beat
saw him slurring and smiling
at the girls outside
said you could sense it so immense underneath
bad energy

The best album of 2024 is Cindy Lee’s Diamond Jubilee

Listening to the Seal Spotify station when a lone Black Mirror song appears

The Story Behind Seal’s Biggest Song

Starts with an excellent acoustic performance of Kiss from a Rose.

I can’t get enough of this Arnel Pineda guy.

Even when he’s tired and his voice sounds like shit, he’s still out performing the competition. Not even Steve Perry’s voice could withstand constantly touring with Journey.

I’ve noticed Pineda still sounds fantastic on the ballads.

And anyway, speaking of Steve Perry, this is a fantastic solo concert. We were denied the glory that would have been a Trial by Fire tour.

What the fuck is even happening here? Scott Stapp sounds incredible. Story is he got sober and took voice lessons. The guy has clearly worked his ass off to return to better form than anything he’s ever achieved with Creed before.
