the fact a CA senator is getting arrested on camera and showing up to these things while our governor still hasnt shown his face is embarrassing.

the dumbest fucking shit about this is that LA and the greater southland is probably a good model for modern immigration policy in a complex world. police forces DO assist federal officials when they arrest felons and do assist in deportation when needed. The “sanctuary city” basic creed and goal is that as long as someone lives here and is contributing to the community they can stay. and those cities have thrived and have been extraordinarily successful with that strategy, and people generally like to live there. there are local economies that are super resilient backed by immigrant labor. everyone here is aware of this fact.
