Welcome to the Noncompliance: Cry 'No Kings!' and Let Slip the Frogs of War

saw a chaotic clip from what looks like santa ana of a bunch of homeland security shaking and chasing random hispanic dudes down in the street in a random neighborhood next to a school or park. clip of a guy frantically going to his wallet to show id as he rolled his sleeves up to show he didnt have tattoos. its stop and frisk. absolutely batshit. I have never seen anything like this in my life. i am a little rattled.

there is going to be a lot of violence. on a good day LA is ready to explode into chaos on a hair trigger already

edit; sorry misreported. this is not SA, it was slauson and state in huntington park.

Return California to Mexico. The rest of the USA hates California anyway. Let us go.

Dallas is a blue city?

california is a pure democracy in its constitution

mexico governed it that way and left it mostly to the tribes and citizens to govern and US saw it as an opportunity.

we’ll see if the powers that be respect the sovereignty of CA. gruesome newsom isn’t wrong in that we carry a lot of the country’s domestic output, if not in just raw gdp, but agricultural products and tax revenue. militarily we control the major ports of the supply chain and most of the west coast. like lol. i suspect newsom’s spine isn’t very thick though.

I hope this is just a display to instill fear, as much as been so far. But i dont personally think the state of ca should be fucked with, especially la, which is facing a crippling budget shortfall as its steel reeling from the fires and all that damage.

Yes

All cities are blue cities.

It’s not that I don’t believe you, but I would have thought that that would make Texas purplish. Everyone knows Austin is blue. Houston, Waco, San Antonio all red?

But that’s where the people are? Why aren’t more states blue then?

33% of CA labor is immigrants and a solid chunk of that is seasonal labor

Texas has historically low voter turnout

When China cut off the rare minerals and went full on “Now Youse Can’t Leave” they crushed Trump.

If every illegal immigrant stopped working tomorrow and went on strike, it would crush Trump just as hard as China crushed him on the tariffs.

Houston is blue (3/4 reps). San Antonio is blue, but only 1/2 reps because of some ludicrous gerrymandering (the republican district borders El Paso. Waco is not a real city, pop is 144k

unconfirmed by me but there’s been reports of community pages taking down posts reporting ice sightings and people are using all sorts of weird code words now

i suspect the reason for this is platforms like meta have started cracking down and warning admins

Ok I’m slowly getting it. Texas has 30M, but a lot of that is suburbs and towns. https://www.texas-demographics.com/cities_by_population So I was wrong when I thought cities are where the people are.

Fort Worth seems like the biggest Republican city. (Pretty purple, but gop mayor and the county voted Trump)

Miami-Dade county went 55-44 for Trump. Over a million voters in 2024. Fort Worth looks like #2, though. Then OKC.
