Let’s see what these musical scientists got up to…

Corey Taylor, Dave Grohl, Rick Nielsen, Scott Reeder - From Can to Can’t
Comment: I think this exemplifies the category beautifully. A group of masters of their craft coming together to put together a killer rock track. This gave me a new appreciation for just how good Corey Taylor’s vocals are. If you are digging the song, you may light to check out some footage of the recording process at
thats where this fan pulled together the footage to create the video clip in the song link.
Eh…last place is always hard to talk about. This just isn’t for me. Sorry. I get why someone would like this.
Ouch

Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass
Shit I was a bit intimidated by this and then it hit me. Gotta go with the maestro Aesop Rock. Once I got, it was about which song to pick. As a bonus, here’s what the rhyme scheme looks like.
I’m glad the submitter included the supplementary video analysis because it doesn’t sound like a particularly expert performance, but it is. Aesop has just never done anything for me. My bad. Just kind of a warm glass of water. Nothing objectionable.
Can’t fix your crap taste in music I guess.
Definitely getting raked over in this walrus.
I’d argue that Aesop and MF DOOM are the best rappers of all-time.

Charlie Parker – KoKo
The low-quality recording makes it a bit tough to listen to. Probably better on a car stereo than headphones. Hurts my ears a bit. The sax is the nut low instrument so a bit unlucky there. Good try.
Actually lol’d.
The judges wish they could administer bonus points, but alas…
I personally think it exemplifies the category beautifully
I don’t have the background knowledge of walrus that most of you have but is cassette really this bad at listening to music?
I mean if we get to fucking #1 and it’s Stairway to Heaven or some shit like that I’m gonna lose it.
Wow would not have guessed Bird to be on the nodium
Edit: some lawnmowers in orbit
Still in!

Apocalyptica – Last Hope
Comment: It’s an instrumental but it’s a tour de force. Both the cello play and the drumming are amazing
I like the drums. I kind of get it halfway through though. Sorry Louis (I assume).
cassette is elite imo, I just completely misjudged which direction to go in here.
fwiw I really enjoy Aesop Rock and that is one of their tracks I would have considered submitting at some point in a Walrus.
All good my man, keep bringin the pain! Walrus is always better when you play.
Obviously.
Other than Charlie Parker, these have not been what I was expecting at all.
And I have now reached my best placing so far in this walrus.
Those fireworks must have cost a fortune.
Alright, from here on out all the songs have made it into my “Worth another listen” playlist or better. Including the next controversial submission…
