Scrap the above. I realised that as much as I couldn’t face writing it all again, I couldn’t face waiting a few days and then still needing to write it all again even more. So I wrote it all again.

Man I don’t exactly love this first place song but I have to agree it’s better than most of the other stuff that was submitted. De-fault, the two sweetest words in the English language.
OK 10 million views is oddly hard, going through my “favorites” list and very few songs qualify.
I could see my picks going either way with pyat and eyebooger. I like them.
I think I have a good one for pyatnitski and I don’t even remember what I submitted to eyebooger.
Edit: checked and eyebooger also got a good one. No idea why I ever doubted myself.
All @SwankyWilder had to do was pick the other two options and the podium would have been far better.
I do think ‘everyday’ is a solid pick. Hip hop was the way to go in this one imo. Tons of great stuff with infinite views.

I considered a few Lorde tracks for Yuv. I think she’s alright.She would have been my pick in a 100 million+ category.
I nearly submitted an early James Brown track. Figured it wasn’t in the spirit and might get marked down, but I dunno why I imagined I could do any better.
It’s weird that almost everyone picked boring songs for his category. Low energy Walrus submissions!

I asked for “jazz, folk, metal (or clearly influenced by).” I think the quality of the submissions was a bit lower than the last few I’ve judged, and, as expected, metal (my least favourite of the three) was easily the most represented. But there also weren’t any that bad submissions, and the podium are all really good, so, I dunno. Maybe give yourselves seven on ten collectively. B minus. Not bad at all!
What would I have sent? Who knows as the choice is massive, but for right now I have to go jazz (you lot didn’t), so I’ll post something from the group that might turn out to have been my last concert ever (before COVID destroyed nice things for the rest of time). These guys are first class and do a nice line in covers.
