I’m the same way, I don’t really care for jazz but I love the blues. Live improvisational Jazz is pretty good but the recorded stuff doesn’t do it for me at all. My wife tries to get me to appreciate by appealing to how difficult it is but I’m like well I can appreciate skill but that doesn’t make it enjoyable to listen to.
