GTA V is so much better than the other ones it barely even deserves explanation.

Yeah skipping IV and going straight to V is a really good call actually.

I didnā€™t play through both endings last time, so I want to do it this time in GTA IV.

gta5 is a masterpiece

Speaking of rockstar games. Been playing the shit out of red dead online lately. Anyone else playing it? It actually turned into a pretty fun thing. I like the roles/classes you can pick up - apparently a new one is being released this week, ā€œmoonshiner.ā€

You can also play online poker now with other players (not available in some states/countries) for ingame currency at stakes that are actually kind of significant. Itā€™s about as soft as youā€™d expect. Having a blast.

oh, you can also host private poker tables to play against friends. If anyone is on PSN and playing this game, add me - Strike_The_Match

I would like to claim that I will not be playing the the POE league that starts in a couple of hours, but I like league starts too much. Just one character tho.

Free on Epic:

The Wolf Among US (very well reviewed Telltale adventure)
The Escapist

Playing a bunch of Resident Evil 2 remake. Lots of fun just wish I wasnt so terrible at aiming with a controller, definitely should have bought it on PC

Never used GoG. Any opinions? Got Postal for free. Iā€™ve never played it. Is it fun?

Not really. Its a bad doom clone

Well, Iā€™m happier that I could download Ultima IV Quest of the Avatar.

Epic is in the middle of 12 free games in 12 days; yesterday was Superhot, which I reinstalled the client to download (and then immediately deleted after it turned out it wasnā€™t compatible with my Mac OS). There was a discussion on the old site as to why Epic is garbage but I donā€™t remember the finer details.

I got Fallen Order used at Redbox for $25, so far itā€™s pretty great, similar to the newer Tomb Raider game but with light sabers. Iā€™d recommend it if youā€™re into third person action or Star Wars, seems fairly substantial as Iā€™ve probably played 4-5 hours and am just scratching the surface.

Itā€™s a weird game that Iā€™m not sure how to classify. Itā€™s kind of mostly a platformer/adventure game and sometimes you have brutally hard fights

Itā€™s not a super long game. Thereā€™s only 5 planets but you revisit some more than once. Probably 20-30 hours if you plow through and 50+ if you go for all the collectibles.

20-30 hours is plenty for a game like that. Itā€™s a third-person action platformer with some Metroidvania elements (having to acquire new skills to access previously inaccessible areas). Itā€™s not open world but it feels less on-rails than something like Uncharted. They also incorporated some elements from Dark Souls but itā€™s a lot more straightforward and obvious than those games.

Little Inferno the free game today. Fun little indy about burning shit and being a completionist essentially

Wow guys, wow. I got Disco Elysium last night and Iā€™ve been playing it all day. Itā€™s amazing.

be any kind of cop you want

Couldnā€™t get into DE, too many walls of text/walking simulator. Oh well.

Yeah, I played for an hour an thereā€™s no action. Writing is probably the funniest game Iā€™ve seen in years if not ever.
