Don’t take that from them. Go buy a new $1100 cell phone and activate a new line and show them what’s what.
Humble Bundle has a 9-game Leisure Suit Larry bundle for $10.

Ok, I think I might finally get a new gaming PC. I built mine 7 years ago and it was a budget gaming build at the time, so obviously it’s pretty out of date. Still runs well, actually. Can play stuff like Fortnite, Overwatch, Rocket League, etc. just fine on low-medium settings. Haven’t tried anything REALLY intensive. Only big problem I had was I got to a part in one of the latest Wolfenstein games where there were so many enemies on the screen where it became unplayable. But overall, it’s still running strong.
That said, I think it’s time.
My needs are modest. I don’t plan on spending a ton, just something that will last me a few years and will play whatever, even if it’s not at ultra graphics settings. I built my current PC for maybe $600 and that’s as much as a fucking GPU costs now, so I’m leaning toward a pre-built machine.
Seems like this might be a pretty good bang for the buck:

I think it might be $100 less for Black Friday - can’t tell based on the ad scan I’ve seen.
I have additional hard drives and an optical drive I can take out of my current PC, so I’m not overly concerned with the storage it comes with.
I also saw something about an Alienware Aurora 12 for about $1200, but I can’t seem to find it.
Thoughts?
Fortunate enough to snag a network test code. We played every minute of the 15 hours spread out in those five 3-hour time slots. It’s absolutely fantastic.
First game I’ve preordered since… Mario Kart Wii U according to my gmail search lol. But I get 15% off through work so I just will play it when it shows up at my door whenever that is.
I just went to the kitchen and realized I was humming the music from NES Lode Runner. wtf
Maybe discussed up thread but I ain’t going through all of it.
9 year old daughter is getting an Oculus 2 for Xmas. What games should I be looking at that are appropriate for her and fun?
Beat saber
Thanks.
Also, in case anybody else is pulling the trigger on an Oculus, looks like the best deal is $300 plus a $50 gift card to various places (best buy, target, amazon). Deal goes live on 11/21:

Moss is also a really fun game that works for younger kids.
Word of warning, doctors seem to not be completely in sync with whether VR usage can cause motor skill issues in kids under 10. Same with eye strain and damage. Make sure that time spent in headset is monitored. The general rule of thumb is a 15-30 second break (minimum) where you take the headset off and focus on something farther away every 15 minutes.
If you want a case and a larger HD, Costco is selling the 256 GB with a carrying case for 399. About 60-80 bucks off retail
