Luckily seems like i can make between 50-100g a day off my transmute cooldowns.

I played Aion and other Korean grinders. It can’t be anything like that. We had a guild of about 60 people go to Aion when it launched. I think most made it to 40 and then it was insane. I hit 50 with like 2 guild members left.

Other than poker for games we can crush, a group of people that can follow the most simple directions in mmo pvp can ruin huge groups of peoples’ days. I prefer that way over dungeon grinds but will PVE to get gear. I won’t tank ever. Sorry. I’ve never done it and I know it does take skill and it’s just not my gamestyle. Not wasting 100s of hours doing it for no end enjoyment.
lol, so I guess I’m into Fortnite now. Been playing with dlk9s jr a bunch the last few days. We’ve won some duos and have generally done well, though he still carries most of the time (I did once, proudly).
I got brave and played a couple solo games yesterday. I used the patented “scared and hide” strategy to a second place finish with zero kills. That inspired my son to try to win a duos match without killing anyone.
We hid in a porta-potty for like 25% of the game and only moved if we had to. With <20 players left, we found a bathroom in the basement of a house and hid there. At one point, someone was right outside the door, but never came in. The storm actually bisected the bathroom at one point.
With 10 players left (or thereabouts), we snuck (always crouch-walking) out in the open to an alcove in a mansion. Literally crouched there, hiding, while another team was in the house. We heard a shootout and after it stopped, it was just us and one other team. We snuck out to get into the tiny circle while we assume the other team was healing up.
There was nowhere to hide, so we both went on opposite downslopes. My son got spotted first and finally had to take a shot. We went about 20 minutes without pulling the trigger. He almost won a 1v2, downing one player and getting the other down to about 10 health. Won’t go into the rest of the play-by-play, but after building a structure, the other guy had to make a move because of the approaching storm, and I got him for the win.
I took 10 shots the entire game, all in the final fight. I landed one and we won with a single kill (to be fair, the guy I killed built a quick wall when he jumped out that absorbed my first few shots). If the opponent didn’t leave his structure when he did, we would’ve won with zero kills.
My son and I went through the replay for an hour. There were lots of cinematic moments that were hilarious to watch.

Goddammit, I’ve become a Fortnite player. Don’t know what to think about this.
Got my first-ever solo win last night. I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder of myself. My son was like “wtf is going on,” because I didn’t play scared - I was mowing people down left and right. He couldn’t believe what had gotten into his 45-year-old dad.
We also got a duo win with only 2 total kills last night. It was accidental - we weren’t trying for a zero kill victory. dlk9s jr just happened to die right away and it took me a long time to reboot him because I was being hunted. Then we somehow ended up killing the last two guys and winning.
I’m so unreasonably excited to play D2 again. I spent hours and hours as a kid playing. I would run my bot all night and all day while I was at school. I would always be giddy to get home and see what it found.
Going to roll a lightning sorc and a poison nova necro to start.
I want to do either a Javazon or necro, but it seems blasphemous to not start as a sorc until enigma.

I’m only like level 6-8 so far and I can already see the way all the MMOs I’ve played have copied WOW (the first mmo btw). It will be interesting to see what the games I’ve played changed or just ripped off as I level tbh. I’m not a huge fan of having to run dungeons without a static group though tbh. PUGs are the worst almost always and from skimming previous posts it sounds like WOW is bad pug magnified. I just hate fucking waiting and waiting and waiting and then wipe or someone leaves etc and you could have leveled several times in the meantime.
