US Kills Soleimani in Airstrike

Whoever those people are, I am not any of them and I am not a flat earth guy. You seem to have weird acquaintances. I have no plans to troll anyone.

The original version of the line appeared in B. Traven’s novel The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1927):

All right," Curtin shouted back. “If you are the police, where are your badges? Let’s see them.”
"Badges, to god-damned hell with badges! We have no badges. In fact, we don’t need badges. I don’t have to show you any stinking badges, you god-damned cabrón and chinga tu madre !

The line was popularized by John Huston’s 1948 film adaptation of the novel, which was altered from its content in the novel to meet the Motion Picture Production Code regulations severely limiting profanity in film.[4] In one scene, a Mexican bandit leader named “Gold Hat”[5] (portrayed by Alfonso Bedoya) tries to convince Fred C. Dobbs (Humphrey Bogart)[6] that he and his company are Federales :

Dobbs: “If you’re the police, where are your badges?”
Gold Hat: “Badges? We ain’t got no badges. We don’t need no badges. I don’t have to show you any stinkin’ badges!”

Ah yes, nothing cuts child care costs like being away from your child even more at a 2nd job.

This is literally not at all how somebody would react in this situation.

Wait, lol, and this:

Yes, obviously he was asking for your so-called Christian name.

It’s a weird take by doubting Thomas because the argument is essentially that the middle class is dead.

It used to be that one adult could provide for a family of four comfortably. This means vacations, occasional luxuries and celebrations etc etc.

Claiming that 65k is cool because you can kind of almost squeeze most of the necessities to live is not at all comparable.

New word today is Trump approved the assassination seven months ago.

Lol imminent threat.

but it doesn’t really matter

News is reporting today that they were talking about smoking this guy 7 months ago. Of course there was no “imminent” attack.

He’s right that it doesn’t matter, though.

All the Republicans and half the Democrats in the world are ready to have a parade for any killed Iranian person anywhere near the military or government regardless of how or why they are killed. And most of the Dems who aren’t actively comparing Iranian support for the Palestinians with a KKK invasion of Central America are scared to death that someone will say they are carrying water for the Ayatollah.

Rereading that tweet and it makes less sense each time - the answer is Yes to both that an attack was imminent and not imminent - Schrodingers Attack :scream_cat:

We went through this whole “imminent threat” bs when Obama vaporized that US citizen who posted some “scary” youtube videos. The military gets away with this shit all the time because there is not enough popular will to shut it down.

I’m bahbahmickey on 2p2.

I mean that’s true, but you’ve kind of understated things. These acts are popular with large segments of the American public.

Yeah, I agree. It’s not really an understatement so much as I was focusing on describing the opposition. They are two sides to the same coin.

Not that the droning of an American citizen wasn’t a problem, but the US dropped 26 thousand bombs on Iraq in 2016 alone. There were lots of problems.

Somebody ask him a math question to prove it!

bahbahmickey was the “financial consultant” who legit didn’t understand marginal tax rates, right? Absolute legend.
