Do you think the US shot down the plane to make Iran look bad?
Theyâve got a cheerleader media class tripping over their bits to make Iran look as bad as possible, seems unnecessary and loaded with blowback potential. Admittedly, the latter hasnât always stopped them, but I donât see any reason to get fancy here; itâs probably what it looks like, an Iranian fuck-up.
I may repeat myself too much, but I think itâs important to not even think of these things as âfuck-upsâ. This is just what happens when you do war. You donât get to say âletâs bomb Iraq and not bomb any hospitalsâ or letâs have a huge military presence in a tense situation and never shoot down a commercial airliner, or letâs have a huge ground presence and never commit war crimes against civilians. Bad things are guaranteed to happen.
So, yeah, shooting down this airliner was partly Trumpâs fault. He took an already dangerous situation and made it more dangerous and anything that happens because of that is partly his fault.
I honestly was 10% surprised we didnât find out the airplane was containing at least one important Trump informant
Followed by news outlets reporting it was a coincidence, the Trump admin denying it had anything to do with Trump, before Trump says yeah, I did it, so what? And perhaps Rudy goes on MTP to show the text messages where the DOD instructed him to press the red button himself on orders of POTUS.
These are introduced as articles of impeachment, which are quickly dismissedâŚ
Itâs like making the same movie over again. As long as you know how it ends, you can do whatever you want.
US tried to assassinate another Iranian, this time in Yemen, the same day they got Soleimani.
Iâm too busy atm to look this up, but iirc
Bernie Sanders introduced a bill to stop the US from warring in Yemen. It passed the House and the Senate. Trump vetoed it. The override failed. Then in the huge defense bill Dems added amendments to stop warring in Yemen and passed it. The Senate took those things out. The Dems went ahead and passed the Senate version stripped of anything defunding the war in Yemen.
I think the final vote in the House that sealed this fate was the cloture vote that 188 Dems voted for and 41 voted against.
Hmm⌠so weird. The assassination did not stop imminent danger against the US since one of them survived. This is very bad news for Trump. Might bring down his presidency after his administration swore up and down it prevented imminent danger.
But we failed on fifty percent, does that leave fifty percent imminent danger? Regardless wegothim.png
Yeah itâs a real life Aristocrats joke.
Same ending and Trump will just keep finding more and more fucked up ways to get to it
So Trump has a 50% success rate? Sounds like an F to me.
Heâs retweeted his Rasmussen approval rating so many times he just assumes 50% is max score
Kilmeade always looks like he just got caught looking at gay porn.
Lol
Such as: withdrawal of US troops from Iraq.
And: the death of a murderous terrorist er âgeneralâ
Weighted scoring: B+
Lots of PHDs, medical doctors, and engineers on that flight apparently. Lots of students in school on the way to becoming one of those as well.
Technically, I turn toward that military base several times a day. Just from a presumably safe distanceâŚ
If you want to read about them:
Itâs crazy, it seems over half of them were engineers (maybe 2/3rds), doctors, Masters or PHD students. A whole bunch were PHD students in engineering at my alma mater.
edit: Thereâs 104 people listed there, I heard 138 were headed to Canada, unsure of the other 34.
