This is amazing. Honestly, more Dems in red districts need to run not as Dems, but as Ford F-150s.
God, your country sucks so hard if that kinda message actually works, lol.
ME BADASS, VOTE ME!
Oh, this only works in certain places. Like…Florida.
My California friends all think it’s terrible, which is actually the entire problem and why we’re losing.
From a messaging perspective, I think it’s absolutely fantastic, because it shows this campaign actually knows its audience.
I’m probably aligned with your Cali friends (I feel like “I’m a badass” is something you should show people more than tell them), but I’m officially in my let every candidate throw their messaging out there and see what works mode, so I hope you and he are right.
There’s a 99.9% chance he loses, but if he closes that 30 point margin to single digits, that in and of itself is a wildly successful result.
The question is who will learn the right lessons…
Well, Democrats have repeatedly shown that they think anything but a win means it was a total failure, so my money is on…not us.
I’m sure I’m just a rube, but losing in an election barely anyone knows is even happening after getting curb stomped by a Nazi when it actually mattered isn’t exactly inspiring me to feel any particular amount of optimism.
Sorry, by “Democrats” in my above post, I meant the ones who work in politics and campaigns and make these kinds of ads.
I don’t expect normies to care at all about this kind of thing. It’s infuriating when those with the power to make decisions about this stuff don’t pay attention or write it off or think that one size fits all when it comes to messaging, though.
The moderators of this message board, otatop, L.Washington, WichitaDM, Yuv, JonnyA, RiskyFlush, and SvenO, are cowards who let abusers dox and harrass other long time posters.
I’ll take action at those odds
Yeah, I’m with you too. But Trump has proven conclusively that people like us aren’t the norm. Apparently people referring to themselves as “stable geniuses” (which is something you should also show more than tell) with enormous dicks (neither should be shown or told) plays well.
That’s a loser mentality even if it may be technically correct.
Like Ricky Bobby said, “If you’re not first, you’re last”. And that actually applies here.
seems like the key in the current environment would just be to be authentic… which i think is why dems are seeing a lot of backlash right now because no one believes they actually care.
that ad at least seems like he cares a bit. i’m probably whatever a “populist patriot” is although i could personally do without the monster truck rally voice over but this is for daytona…
I think Trump is one of the few candidates that Kamala could beat. They may not fly a 50ft flag for the other dude but they sure as hell arent switching parties if they dont get their preffered and risk losing to the dems. And theyd pick up w/e amount of never trumpers or women that despise the guy. Maybe its not a big number, i honestly dont know, but i know that its bigger than zero.
Also, you saw how they voted for the props in cali, that could have turned out a lot different if the guy running for prez was leas of a lunatic.
I had it the other way. I think Harris was one of the few Orange man could beat. Biden was too. I think Walz or Shapiro or Gavin with a full primary season wins.
Of course, both could be true.
Elon says the fate of humanity rides on this Wisconsin SC judge seat. So why did he cheap out on the bribe money?
And this attitude is exactly why red districts never flip or continue to get redder. Because the Dem leadership and donors and decision-makers think “if we can’t win, then why bother”?
So we starve Dems who are running in red areas that “can’t win”, thus ensuring that yes, indeed, you are correct sir, a Dem will never win there.
The thing is, you, like everyone I just decribed sees this:
as “loser mentality” which means you’re considering every cycle in a vacuum. But you can’t do that. If Candidate '26 closes the gap, then we look at Candidate 28 having to overcome a smaller gap. Then if C’28 closes THAT gap, then C’30 has even less of a hill to climb.
Yeah, yeah, I want what I want and I want it NOW has been the dems way of making decisions for a long time, and I’m saying it needs to change.
He’s joking about the “running” part.
