Maybe there were a lot of other factors in both of those wars, but I still think the claim that firing generals is a ‘no no’ needs further defense by Christo Grozev or whoever was making that claim. If you have military commanders who are failing it is probably better the replace them as soon as possible even if it sets you back in the short term.
replacing generals is a no-no in the sense that it signals you are losing the war. there’s no guarantees new generals are going to turn the tide.
