Maybe, but it looks like he’s been indiscriminately firing rockets at apartment buildings in Kharkiv. I’m guessing it’s intended to force Ukraine to come to the bargaining table. He got away with all kinds of war crimes in Chechnya.

I can’t bring myself to “like” this, but it’s so on point.
I could see this being a thing if distance actually equated to safety. If they can send nukes halfway across the world, it seems like Putin would be in range of somebody somewhere. Maybe plant a poison dart in his chair…and when he sits down, its game over.
Well, distance just presumably prevents someone in his inner circle pulling out a pistol and putting two in his smug face in some sort of martyrdom suicide attack.

Wow, honest self reflection from an American ex-diplomat, how refreshing.
Cuepee gets a lot of shit, but he does make a lot of valid points IMO, albeit not points I’d expect the majority of posters on this forum to agree with. The thing is, he is completely incapable of brevity. His verboseness is really off-putting to a lot of posters, and I don’t blame them - I often just either skim his posts or just skip them completely. I suggested before that some sort of browser extension / forum option implementing the old MS Word “Auto-Summarize” feature for certain posters would be a godsend.
