I can’t really explain. This might not be the best time to watch but I highly recommend it at some point. Perverse dark humor. Great performances. Iconic scenes. Memorable dialog. It’s farce but disturbingly plausible farce. It took me years to convince my younger Russian refugee friend to watch but she liked it.

eastern ukraine was always a dog for them to actually hold on but that’s still a blow if they can’t repel them back as it’s a 1.4 million pop city.
It’s the second largest city in Ukraine, and according to some random tweet one of the two objectives they had to take by Monday. But if they’re still getting shot at, that’s a good sign I guess.
every step the russian soldier takes brings him closer into a trap hntil his death. letting them come in some distance and learning about them before an ambush has been a common tactic/strat. they are sending kamaz because it’s faster than tanks, but also uses less fuel.

There’s speculation on OSINT Twitter that they entered Kharkiv by accident, making a wrong turn. They were hauling ass in the video they were in and they weren’t shooting at anything.
Well the fact that they can do that means the city isn’t being defended.
