i was watching the odessa synagogue evacuating bideo and started crying. 80 years ago my grandmother evacuated from Odessa to Tbilisi. my great grandfather stayed back to resist in the port and was presumed dead at the hands of nazis.
i can take some solace in that i’ve been beating the drum of putin is evil since the beginning.

In retrospective media pieces to come, what Biden was saying will seem so obvious people won’t believe he was being ridiculed for it. Post-invasion Putin has been getting waffle-crushed in the propaganda war and there’s no way to turn that around. A quick Russian military victory and things might have looked more mixed. I give Biden some credit but he’s been pretty risk-averse and Ukraine is making him look better than he might deserve. Maybe his approach was best, idk.

There’s something going around on Twitter about the Russian Ministry of Defense posting a picture of nuclear ICBMs a few minutes ago, but I don’t see it from anyone verified and I can’t find it myself, so I’m hoping it’s fake.
Seems like Ukraine’s allies can get away with a lot here. Unless Russia has concrete proof, no one will ever believe them on anything.
