One of the hardest things for me to imagine is being so attached to one’s homeland that one would be willing to fight to defend it. Maybe it’s because I was a nomad growing up, but I just don’t have that in me. I’m too chickenshit, I guess. I’d be getting the fuck out.
Fortunately for Ukraine, they’ve got plenty of people who are completely the opposite of me in that regard.
