a report came out today that estimates total russian fighting losses in 25-28k range, including non-military/mercenary units. UA thinks their own dead is 3k. that’s a whopping 8:1 or 9:1. even if it’s only 5:1 or 6:1, it’s more than decisive. just in awe of what 8 years with nato trainers can do.
Seems like an echo of Feb 24. You can hope all you want that Putin’s not going to do it, but bet the other side.
Turns out NATO was a big threat to Putin after all, because he was never going to be able to resist invading Ukraine and NATO turned that into a fuck around and find out situation.

interesting aspect that hasn’t hit the news yet from the ISW pdf. “Reported Ukrainian Partisan Warfare”, they are talking about local resistance guerillas.
It seems to make sense they would want to activate those at some point. The problem is since it’s the Russians you know it will just make them commit more atrocities.
I missed that but heard the possibility of increased local resistance mentioned yesterday, by some military guy I never heard of on a CNN yt. He was saying that even in the separatist areas, local opinion has shifted against the Russians. I don’t know how he could know that but it makes sense.
The Russians are conscripting every able-bodied male in the separatist regions to use as cannon fodder. That will sour public opinion pretty quickly. It’s basically a way of murdering the local population who didn’t already join the cause.
