I literally watched about 10 minutes of e1 of the return with no sound because I thought it was lynch doing lynch things until I finally gave up and realized I had a bad rip of the episode.

That’s what you’re missing by not waiting 10+ years between s2 and s3 !
The nostalgia should be so strong that when at the end of s3e2 they tell you
“James has always been cool”
you actually believe it.
(That ep end was one of my favorite moments in the return, that chromatics song is so great too)

I thought there was some weird Black Lodge thing about there being two Trumans now, but according to the internet it’s just that the original actor retired so the writers wrote in a scenario where Truman’s brother came to Twin Peaks to take over for him.
