This is a councilwoman from Norman. She was arrested for unspecified cause at the Trump rally last week. Her neighbor was raped last night by someone that meant to rape her (after people doxxed her for the arrest).
No. She was supposedly climbing on a pole or something? She said she’d comment after her court date. I don’t know much about her, but the consequences of doxxing really need to be discussed by the media.
I’m so sad about the state of this country. We’ve had numerous lynchings the last few weeks. There are literally black people being hung for protesting. The black woman had lighter fluid thrown at her at a stoplight and lit, burning her face. Peaceful protesters have been fired on by white supremacists. This woman being raped.
That’s before you even get into what the police are doing.
Yea I’m pretty disgusted by all of it. I’m sure I would be a much happier, more productive person if I could just unplug from all the news and live in blissful ignorance. At least a couple times a week I tell my partner how much I hate it here and want out.
i think <1% chance this happens under president hillary clinton. probably a couple states would introduce confederate symbols to their flags during her term. but first #metoo and now this, all while exposing all the shitty people, trump might truly be maga
“It was like the storming of the Bastille, the gate came down and a large crowd of angry, aggressive people poured through,” Mark McCloskey said. “I was terrified that we’d be murdered within seconds. Our house would be burned down, our pets would be killed.”
…
“One fellow standing right in front of me pulled out two pistol magazines, clicked them together and said you’re next. That was the first death threat we got that night,” Mark McCloskey said.
In a separate statement from their attorney, the McCloskeys said they support the Black Lives Matter movement and that “peaceful protesters were not the subject of scorn or disdain by the McCloskeys. To the contrary, they were expecting and supportive of the message of the protesters,” the statement reads.
