Trump tax returns leaked. For realz.

This is not only the most fun line, it is also the correct line.

The key to defeating Trump is not to show that he lies, that he is evil, or that he is corrupt. A good portion of his base either doesn’t care about those things or wants them. What they don’t want is someone who is a laughingstock.

That’s the best use of these tax returns. “Broke ass bitch” is right in the sweet spot.

Biden should ask Trump if he used his stimulus check to pay that $750.

I am 100% certain he is, at minimum, guilty of tax fraud regardless of whether he’s broke or hiding the family jewels in a tower somewhere. It’s not either/or.

I think “Imagine getting a tax break for billionaire’s while in the White House and you’re broke” then follow up with something along the lines of “A rebate on 750” “Oh man they sure screwed you Donnie”

Exactly what everyone is saying should be done. He acts like the bully. Point and laugh. Biden going off like Jeff Ross would be so damn good. Again, that means it will never happen. Even the reporters should be doing that shit. Super sarcastic followups that piss him off and make him respond while flustered or continue walking off the pressers. This has been my method with Trumpers around me and other than one dude who I may get beat up by, it’s worked. It worked with that guy too obv because he said he’ll run into me someday lmao.

This is only true up to a point. Biden has a pretty good opportunity to capture votes of people that are generally fed up with Trump but who are teetering on the edge of total disengagement from politics. If Biden leans too much into the goading of Trump some of those people will absolutely throw up their hands and say the whole thing is a farce, no one is really going to help me, fuck them all. That would potentially be disastrous for Biden. He can needle Trump but he absolutely has to hold out something of genuine value to people that are close but need to believe there’s something in it for them. I think there are alot of them.

They don’t do it because they can lose access.

I know. That’s part of the reason. The other is that they are mostly spineless. A lot of them have a certain story they are working on so want a quote about that and shit.

Biden shouldn’t do much of the ridiculing himself, that’s what the surrogates need to do.

He should just sprinkle a bit in here and there while staying on point.

So much this. Firm, strong statements without snark. KISS.

Some people are pushing the #Brokeahontas hashtag on Twitter. Some people don’t like it.

Yeah. This is why avoiding the “I have more money than you” / “I pay more tax than you” lines should be avoided.

Biden needs to ensure there is only one disgusting rich dude on the stage.

This article is good. The only good real estate assets Trump has are properties he doesn’t control and didn’t want. He got bailed out of a bad land deal and retained 30% ownership, then sued to stop the controlling owners from selling and buying what are now his most valuable assets. Dude really is the absolute nut low business person.

Mr tRUmp are you:

a) A Broke Ass Bitch
b) A Tax Cheat
c) A Mortgage Fraudster
d) All of the Above

With inflation Lincoln paid just under $30k in 2020 dollars in 1864 taxes.

Thought I’d check in on the Trump thread on the other site. Inso stumbling over himself to fellate a tax cheat was almost too predictable.

The IRS granted the refund on a conditional basis that an audit would take place. His refund was never directly approved. Just how the stupid IRS works and the IRS has been auditing ever since.

If he doesn’t get re-elected he will have to pay back that refund with penalties and interest.

Surprised there’s anyone ITT who thinks “HE DOESNT PAY TAXES” is a winning line of attack. Trump’s brand is that he’s a cunning businessman who plays dirty but gets the job done. The Dems and the liberal left are forever trying to make this a morality play, with the Access Hollywood tape, him abusing the disabled reporter, the Gold Star family, “shithole countries”, etc etc. Nobody cares. “This is America, fuck you, I got mine” is a popular message. Even trying to convince people Trump is clowning on them is not going to work when the appeal of Trump is that he’s a strongman who can stop the walls caving in on America. Stop painting him as a guy who hoodwinks the system and gets away with it. People like that! They hate the system!

I don’t know exactly what the attack should be from the tax returns, but the way to get Trump is to demonstrate what is true, which is that there is no grand strategy, he’s not powerful and cunning, he’s a bullshit artist desperately spinning to stay afloat. “He only paid $750!” is the opposite. It says that there WAS a strategy and the strategy succeeded. “But he’s a bad man for using that strategy” is hopeless, just like all the other morality-based punches that people have tried to land on Trump.

I don’t think “he doesn’t pay taxes” is a winner. I do think mocking him and just repeating “$750 bro” is a winner. I get that this is not consistent but quick hitting emotion based attacks work.
