i disagree with this. it’s much harder to convince dumb people that trump is responsible for any covid-related death. it’s far easier to tell them ‘hey, assholes, this dude is cheating on his taxes while you pay half your salary loser’. Feeling that something is unfair is a pretty easy sentiment to convey.

I disagree. His voters and lots of people will think wow he is so rich he has lawyers and accountants that can make him pay less than I have to. One day I’ll be rich like him and dodge taxes too.
Taxes are very confusing to people. I have heard people complain about making more money with a bonus or overtime putting them in a higher tax bracket and actually costing them money. People act like their tax refunds are a gift from the government. I really don’t see how this changes anything.

I mean we can go the ‘nothing matters’ route and it’s probably a decent bet, but feeling screwed over is probably one of the few things that do matter to people.
Obviously I’m not talking about people on boat parades in Florida, but suburban racist middleclass white people who might get pissed the fuck off if the Dems/Media play it right.
Foreign intelligence could always bribe or blackmail someone with legal access in order to get them to pass it along to a legitimate news outlet. I’m not going to feel guilty reading this stuff if it turns out Iran threatened the family of an IRS civil servant to get this info out there.

Also I’m sure this has been posted but four years ago he admitted he paid jack and that it made him smart, didn’t move the needle. So I fail to see how the same line of attack will do much. It could possibly do something if connected to the broader class struggle, but that is certainly off limits to Democrats as long as Biden is around to pass the corporate reigns to another shithead like Pete.
