HRC was hated by an awful lot of people… but she never ever approached the level of personal venom that Trump has directed at him in late September 2020, and that’s because her perceived awfulness was mostly bullshit and his is, if anything, undersized compared to how he actually is with people.

Hopefully this is just a constant drip drip for the next 6 weeks. More on the losers and suckers. More financial revelations. More former staff coming forward.
I’m not 100% confident Trump ends up in jail, but he basically needs to if we’re going to keep democracy intact. We can’t embolden the GOP to view the presidency as a no-risk opportunity to grift trillions and push for fascism. If Trump walks into the sunset then there’s a real chance that Tom Cotton just becomes god-king in another 4-8 years.
ETA: I’ll be personally disappointed with Biden if he doesn’t bring up Trump’s business failures at least 5x during the debate. Keep screaming about the narcissist emperor’s nudity and wait for his head to explode. It will.
I think the GOP establishment ghouls are just as pissed tbh. They don’t care about anything he’s accomplished for them. Mitch mcconnell’s the guy responsible for wringing as much gain as possible out of this train wreck, but the party may be fucked now.
Seems like national security might be an issue. That whole family probably has leverage in this regard. What a fucking world. The pandemic is ticker fodder at this point.
The thing is, no one actually “made” Carter do that. He did it because of a bullshit adherence to norms.
