This news is crazy - hes saying it can hold 30,000 (obviously taking with a grain of salt). Im gonna get called hysterical but i cant stress how dangerous this is - even if you’re a citizen, do a thought experiment of how easy it would be for you (general you, not you specifically) to prove exactly who you are and your citizenship. usually for me that involves burying through a file cabinet for a document or something. luckily real ID fixes some of that, hopefully, but there are chunks of the country that do not possess or carry any identification and have shaky documents due to a lot of factors (mostly thinking about the black community). even myself a fairly pink/pasty dude can have trouble producing stuff like that because I used to lose stuff like that all the time.
Many people by and large ive talked to are not worried about this at all, ive been trying to reach out and plead with everyone i know that it may be a problem for to make sure, deathly sure you have your docs in order and you can whip that shit out on a dime to a cop or homeland security. do you think theyre gonna be patient w a black person with no id or documents? to the gulags with ye. im calling it right now, in some way shape or form stuff like this is gonna take place, theres gonna be ample evidence for it, and the country’s reaction is gonna be to try to discredit this or say it isnt happening or is just some small isolated cases. Its why i get very frustrated and angry when this kind of talk starts, because, how many times over the years has it been like “no way can he do that” and then like 20 mins later its “oh, he did that.” its just lucy pulling the football shit over and over and over and it’s getting to the point where i struggle to moderate my tone anymore when talking about it, because i know with damn near certainty its going to affect people in my life i love, as it also did last time

fwiw polling mostly got this election right but nobody wanted to believe it (there was that one wtf poll but an outlier happens every cycle it was just surprising it was her then she quit)

it depends what you’re polling though right, a certain type of shallow-ly self righteous person that is common in certain circles is never gonna answer that question honestly. if someone called me and asked that id probably think it was some dumb cop and hang up. it also boils what i think is a fairly complex discussion into a yes no which is dumb. meh ive said enough about this topic.
I’m imagining every one of these with 80,000 federal employees replaying all either asking to be removed from the list or telling everyone else to stop replying all.

I cant really find any confirmation of that claim but had heard of this recently but if its real I guess this would probably be tangentially related. The idea of musk or any of his employees/appointments touching anything security wise or sensitive is such a bad idea, their opsec is bad to the point of hilarity. thats been par for the course for trump admin in general though, there were a bunch of stories last time about hacked personal emails being linked to sensitive govt accounts or social medias. But nothin matters anymore anyway number go up

the rest of the office of personal management had no idea, which of course isn’t supposed to happen but here we are musk installed his puppets into the office already and they aren’t wasting time.

I’m on vacation with my brother in law who works for the FBI. He’s getting non stop texts about what chaos it is. Bosses getting fired. No one knows what’s going on.
Hopefully they fire all the people sending him nonstop texts so he can enjoy his vacation.
