Holy shit am I gonna ship the gold? Not sure if I ever won a category before.
I have a feeling 5th is going to be my high-water mark.
In 2nd place with 9 points and our runner up:
Some fella named Mozart put together a few bangers in his time. The orchestra crescendoing with the rise in volume of the strings are the biggest red flags of impending doom. I would feel oddly okay having this playing while a mushroom cloud hits the skyline near me. It is what is at that point. Iāll let Mozart keep me company with a glass of bourbon.
Actually my first walrus; so we are allowed to reveal āourselvesā in category 2 at this stage?
Isnāt this the song they play at Armageddon in every movie? Seems a little on the nose imo.
YES once your place is known.
Our winner with 10 points:
Iām choosing happiness as the winner here. Iāve lived a pretty great life so far and if it all came to a close in a brief second this is the song I would want playing. Weāre all just stupid ants on this planet and weāll evaporate into space dust eventually. Iāll gladly go out smiling and dancing to a Monty Python movie.
Getting beaten by Mozart I can live with, but a monkey and Monty Python?
Congrats to the podium and thanks for joining all! Category 3: A song that includes a woodwind instrument (Sax/clarinet/ectā¦) will happen this week as well. Maybe tomorrow?
Should be a shit show!
I fully intend for this to be the case.
So that was my pick (thanks T!). Canāt remember seeing that in some Armageddon setting, but if your claim is right then itās because pros picked it!
I think this song coveys the feeling of doom so well because Mozart was basically dying when he wrote it.
This is mine.
When the puppy wakes you at 6 am and you fall back asleep at 10, you miss a reveal. Dammit!
This was mine. It won my grab bag category a while back and it was the first thing I thought of. Good to know you hate pop. Now Iām concerned about a coming category, but whatever.
āStone In Focusā was my entry. Honestly though, you picked this song, not me.
The Algorithm giveth, the Algorithm taketh away.
I was going for irony. Guess I should have gone for cliche instead
