Rachel Griffiths is awesome, and while we are discussing WOW actors from Six Feet Under, the actress who played her mom blew my mind last night when I finally recognized her as Rose, the fashion designer boss that hires Sue Ellen/Christina Applegate in Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead.
Joanna Cassidy looks SO OLD in that movie despite only being in her mid thirties, but it has a lot to do with that artificially aged 80s look, because over a decade later in Six Feet Under, she definitely didn’t look old and would have easily tempted me into dinner with her and Jeremy Sisto.
Finally finished it. Gave me a break from watching news the last few days.
Overall I liked most everything that happened on the island, but everything about the Institute (or whatever it’s called) was terrible. Would have been far better if they just didn’t explain why they were doing the experiment. The idea that this was some revolutionary feminist experiment that would change the word was perhaps the dumbest possible explanation.
