Yeah the silence in the Senate is concerning, but also the right way to play it if they understood the situation. So it’s hard to say. I lean towards them being incompetent, but we’ll see.
I got this same thing yesterday
I got it as well. It seems to be general and on a federal level as opposed to state specific which may cause some confusion. Like it says you have to request your mail ballot but that’s not the case in every state afaik. But it’s nice to see some voter outreach by them.
As far as Senate silence on structural changes, keeping quiet is absolutely the right play. I don’t trust current dems to do anything optimally though, so probably nothing will change even if we sweep.
Sigh

I really don’t know if I can follow this for 6.5 more weeks without completely losing my mind.

This describes me too. Fuck mail in - especially if I lived in a red state.
Now I try to just operate under the assumption that we’re going to lose due to cheating, and I’m going to run bad and catch COVID-19 and die, while the jackass Trump supporting COVID hoaxer with underlying risks who’s been playing live maskless and going to illegal indoor bars for 6+ months continues to fade it.
Anything better for me will be a pleasant surprise. Believe it or not, I’ve had a more peaceful mindset since going to this method.
Hey you’re not going to be disappointed.
Colorado Secretary of State suing USPS over those mailers
They fucked up when they drafted the amendment. They could have written it to avoid this problem, and they should have anticipated it. Which sucks because I know the guy who was the primary drafter of the amendment, and he’s a pretty smart and savvy guy who has a long history in Florida political s so I wonder if the language was a compromise.
Yeah I posted this in the election thread, but it seems like what was originally a good idea was turned into a weapon of chaos by DeJoy because why the hell not?
https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/griswold-accuses-usps-voting-misinfo
Griswold said that secretaries of state had asked postmaster general Louis DeJoy to review a draft before election information was sent out to voters to make sure it was accurate, adding that the Trump-allied, former GOP mega-donor refused. “Now millions of postcards with misinformation are printed & being mailed to voters,” Griswold wrote. She added that officials in her state had asked the USPS not to send the postcards but “they flat out refused.”
Fucking Green Party man.
One of the Republicans on the state Supreme Court voted with the liberals. Ballots are going out, no green party candidate.
On to plans D-Z to suppress the vote. Should be fun to see what they pull out.
Over under 3.5 hours average wait time to vote in Milwaukee. I’ll take the over.
So, canadian who has only ever voted on paper ballots with a ~5 minute wait chiming in.
Does anyone even like the electronic systems? Are they just a thing because this is an option for the states and many choose to fuck up/be corrupt?
Under wherever Ins0 votes, over everywhere black people vote.
The Stoics would be proud of you.
Worry not, my good sir. No amount of fuckery is going to allow Trump to win in November.
Locally, after the last fiasco, I also highly doubt that they’ll try to squeeze the entirety of Milwaukee into 6 polling locations. That was not a good look even in a low turnout spring election. It’d be an unmitigated disaster for the general. Donald Trump and Republicans in general have no say in it, so if it IS a disaster, direct your ire to the City of Milwaukee Election Commission. Democrats as far as the eye can see.
