Dylan’s interview scene in the latest episode was great.

That was not obvious to me at all. Do you say that just because the interviewer was a doppleganger, or was there something I missed?

He wasn’t dreaming anything. That was outie Dylan at a real job interview.

I thought he was dreaming because of the doppelganger thing and they just show him waking up in his car. We’re supposed to believe that the door store guy just coincidently looks like bizarro Dylan

Yes, it’s just funny. That and how they totally vibed for most of the interview showed how Dylan had the job locked down, so it was ever more of a guy punch for him when the severance thing lost it for him.

I think you are ignoring the part where they cut to him waking up. When you have something weird like that and then the character immediately waking up, I’d expect dream to be the default assumption.

I’m doing a rewatch tonight but I don’t think we see him waking up, I think he had his eyes clenched closed in anger and frustration.

He wasn’t waking up. He was awake, just sitting with his head back against the headrest. Plus, the conversation with his wife wouldn’t make sense if he had been dreaming.
