Yes, itâs just funny. That and how they totally vibed for most of the interview showed how Dylan had the job locked down, so it was ever more of a guy punch for him when the severance thing lost it for him.
I think you are ignoring the part where they cut to him waking up. When you have something weird like that and then the character immediately waking up, Iâd expect dream to be the default assumption.
He wasnât waking up. He was awake, just sitting with his head back against the headrest. Plus, the conversation with his wife wouldnât make sense if he had been dreaming.
