The whole copying shop or whatever it was scene

I enjoyed the watching experience of BB over BCS. The main drag of BCS was the endless Chuck storyline, and it was a much slower burn overall. It may have been a different experience had I been able to binge BCS in its entirety as I did BB.

I can understand the lukewarm love for Mad Men. The magic is in its subtleties, and that’s not everyone’s cup of tea when it comes to TV drama.

It is my cup of tea and I do like it, but there are better shows.

wat

guess I’ll put it in spoilers, bc Chuck dies at the end of season 3. the show went for 6 seasons.

anyway, my personal flaming hot take is that you’re all suffering from some mass delusion about BB and that it’s not a good as most of you seem to think. it was great. would watch again. but that chit was soft sci-fi and no way belongs on so many of your top 10 lists. Vince far too often painted himself into a corner with the storyline that required him to completely star trek his way out of. Walter has to macgyver a bomb, the lol with the magnets (props on the meme tho), and the machine gun in the trunk were all brutal gimmicks that belonged in a different show.

It felt endless!

And let’s be clear. Three out of six seasons is HALF THE SHOW. That is a fuck ton for a story arc I wanted to see over by episode three.

gonna well acksually the chit out of this bc it was less than half of you go by the number of episodes…

but seriously. hard disagree. that stuff with chuck was riveting imo.

Don’t let King_of_NY’s dancing eyes and bubbly bon vivant personality fool you. He’s actually, believe it or not, somewhat taciturn.

I agree with KONY. If you remove the Chuck storyline there is no Saul because Jimmy would have succeeded in the law firm and been a normal guy. It was formative and every show needs someone you want to punch in the dick. We were lucky enough to have 2.

I always said Jimmy was like an alcoholic on the wagon, but people did their dam best to push him off the wagon with their lack of faith in his ability to do right despite how well he was doing in the law firm in a menial job. Chuck was such an a-hole that their mom called for Jimmy rather than talking to him when she was about to die.

My rankings have shuffled over the years but Sopranos/The Wire/BB/BCS/Mad Men are all very very good shows and if that was your t5 in any order it would be defensible.

Another unpopular opinion is I still have Justified higher than BB.

Justified may not even be the best Timothy Olyphant plays a US Marshal series

If someone is a Mad Man lover, I don’t see how you don’t like the Chuck subplot.

I absolutely love Justified. It’s best moments are Grade A. Raylan is a GOAT character. But it takes quite a while to find its stride. And the Michael Rappaport season is rough.

I liked it from episode 1, mainly because the tone was right up my alley.

Cmon S2 might be the best one!

Season 2 is without a doubt my favorite season.

We lost out when Edi left over creative differences.
