Just for a brief second, I thought you were referring to this awesome George Clooney movie.
I remember seeing the posters and thinking it must be some absurd art project, but it turned out to be a fantastic film.

sorry this is complete bullshit, what other show are you gonna get to see keri russell go full medieval mode on a dead body, break every bone and stuff that corpse into a carry-on suitcase. A+++++++++ 14/10 no notes.
I still get special feelings thinking about that scene
I canât tell what level this is on

Re: Task
Was Martha Plimpton crooked or not?Robbie plan got there. Every episode was way too long and the basic story wrapped up in episode 5? This is bad storytelling, and the constant stopping and starting of plot momentum was very irritating. They didnât even tell us Ethanâs sentence.
Not a bad show, but it had a lot of problems that irritated me in every episode. Still a recommended watch.
The answer to your first question is 100% no.
Then what was the phone call about where she said, âI think there may be a problemâ? Was it just hacky writing that she seemed super sus in the conversation prior and then was just calling some random superior? It looked like she was in on it based on her reaction to him bringing it up and then getting on the phone right away. They did not do anything even remotely well enough to establish that it was Grasso, and she did pick the team. If she wasnât in on it, it was an extremely strange character and really not good writing with how that was handled. They should have just cut to the next scene instead of her getting on the phone.
Just caught up with chair company in time for ep3 tonight. Iâm enjoying it. I agree with the take that itâs basically an absurd story that finds ways to turn certain scenes into what look like itysl sketches. It works. The car radio profanity sent me pretty hard.
That was end of the episode bait to make you think she was dirty instead of the obvious Grasso. IIRC they resolved that almost immediately in the next episode
I donât remember that being an end of the episode scene, but yes, in the next episode they let the Grasso out of the bag. Just no establishment, though, really strange writing. I guess his scene in the bar about Lizzie was him saying, âIâm a corrupt cop, because we all are but Lizzie isnât, so cheers or whateverâ.
They wanted the viewer to suspect that. Yes, the execution could have been better.
As a writer, you have to ask youself, âwhy am I doing this?â. And as an editor, you have to question the writer, âwhy are you doing this?â. They had a major foreshadowing setup related to Aleah that she was a marksman and never even used it in the one scene it could have mattered. Just so much stuff that needed to be cleaned up in the writing of the show to make it better. I was at least relieved to see the bikers riding motorcycles in the last episode for the first time.
Imo the worst part about Task is that the show supposedly took place outside of Philadelphia, but they only cast actors with thick Cape Cod accents.
I thought they were trying to do Baltimore type accents.
As a former Maryland resident is definitely more of a PA accent. Has some crossover with Baltimore but itâs missing the more stereotypical Baltimorean phrases.
I thought most of them did the Philly suburb accent pretty well. It does have some similarities to Baltimore, but it is a little different (for example, see the way Ruffalo leaned into âwater ice" in the first ep).
Also, if you really want a deep dive into the accent work, listen to The Watch, particularly the first episode discussion where they talk about that a lot.
lol come on man
I mean before it was obvious where the location was.
I have to admit that Philly and Baltimore arenât that easy for me to identify. When I think Philly accent, I think of Silver Linings Playbook and when I think Baltimore accent I think of The Wire. Task seemed like neither. I didnât think anyone really had much of an accent except from Grasso, and it just sounded like a non-specific East Coast accent to me. Would have fit in The Sopranos, imo.
