Full season dumps are obviously better but do fuck with the whole experience of talking about shows as they air because everyone watches at a different pace.
Gonna watch at least one episode of the bear now. This shows alright. Some episodes are bangers, others are just kinda too slow or weird. I feel like itās close to being great but needs to be more consistent.
Yeah, I was the same way. I was plot committed pretty early on so I was going to see it through until the end, almost no matter what.
I also donāt think it was nearly as bad as most do. Quality declines, but I made it through OK.
The moderators of this message board, otatop, L.Washington, WichitaDM, Yuv, JonnyA, RiskyFlush, and SvenO, are cowards who let abusers dox and harrass other long time posters.
Iām high af, but the Rick Steves episode on Iran is excellent.

Rick Steves is so underrated because he presents as a dork.
My favorite Rick Steve memory comes from when I visited Italy. I was using a Rick Steve book to get around.
Well a woman comes RUNNING out to me from a pizzeria. She yells, āRick Steve! I am in Rick Steveās book. You come eat my pizza for free.ā

Is it the episode that aired in 2009 or is there a new Steves series?
Is it weird to travel a lot but never have read or watched anything by Rick Steves? I just assumed all his stuff was for American boomer travel in Europe.
I watched the Poop Cruise doc on a lark and it gets a big thumps down from me. Not sure that this story really calls for the full documentary treatment, but they couldnāt have picked a less engaging approach for this; they literally did āthe Carnival Triumph poop cruise was a study in contrastsā angle. This would have have been pretty bad even if they they managed to successfully convey that the cruise was meaningfully more enjoyable before it caught on fire and everyone had to sleep in feces. And they did not. One star, not recommended.

Through 6 episodes of The Bear. Had to turn it off last night instead of finishing when I saw episode 7 clocks in at 1h9m!
Iām feeling like my ranking of seasons is currently
2>>4>3>1
Maybe 1 and 3 should be switched and that is just recency bias. All seasons great but 2 is obv elite.

Finally started watching The Pitt, though I think three episodes so far. I can see what the hype was about.
The situation with the old man with dementia and his two grown children wanting the doctor to try everything to keep him going really paralleled what happened with my mother-in-law a couple months ago. If there was any silver lining in her case, everyone had more time to come to grips with the situation and she passed away at home and not in a hospital.
I could tell the scenes were hitting my wife a little bit. She said that the show actually made her feel better about the decision to not put her mom on a feeding tube.

Just finished āThe Bearā. Some thoughts:
If the choices are release one episode a week or all at once, Iām on team dump all episodes at once. I think what Andor did with releasing 3 at a time is ideal though.
Needed more closeups. Every scene should have just been a tight shot of food or whomever is talking, instead of just 80%. [/sarcasm]
Itās probably impossible to recapture the heights of season 2, but this season was still very good. Ayo Edebiri deserves an Emmy for this season. Great performances all around, but hers really stood out.
Looking forward to the next season.

I has sort of given up and not watched season 3 after all the bad reviews. You are making me want to go back and catch up.
Poop cruise is umm something. Yikes! I had sort of followed it when it happened but wow. Double yikes.
