The Television Streaming Thread: Part III

Has it been confirmed that Dylan’s outtie didn’t eat his wife and kids between seasons?

I thought he was dreaming because of the doppelganger thing and they just show him waking up in his car. We’re supposed to believe that the door store guy just coincidently looks like bizarro Dylan

Ill take that deal

Yes, it’s just funny. That and how they totally vibed for most of the interview showed how Dylan had the job locked down, so it was ever more of a guy punch for him when the severance thing lost it for him.

There may end up being more meaning to the doppleganger thing, but I do not think Dylan was dreaming.

I think you are ignoring the part where they cut to him waking up. When you have something weird like that and then the character immediately waking up, I’d expect dream to be the default assumption.

I’m doing a rewatch tonight but I don’t think we see him waking up, I think he had his eyes clenched closed in anger and frustration.

Oh, if that’s the case, then forget everything I said.

He wasn’t waking up. He was awake, just sitting with his head back against the headrest. Plus, the conversation with his wife wouldn’t make sense if he had been dreaming.

Also, on the actor in that scene:

I believe the interviewer is this guy:

Yeah, I guess I wasn’t watching carefully enough. Looked to me like they showed him waking up. That was the clincher for me.

proposing an independent Severance thread

Eyebooger,
What he means by this is that he’ll no longer ask you to watch the show, because The Godfather is his own personal infrastructure week for some reason.

Just rewatched, it’s this. Eyes were not closed.

Seconded. I was kinda sad to open the thread to 41 new replies and most of them were about a show I haven’t seen. But such robust discussion deserves its own thread anyway.

I don’t know about robust discussion. A lot of it was me just completely misunderstanding one scene.

That’s where robust discussions start

yeah to at least some of this, when the “new team” shows up in S2E1, one of the questions they ask mark is “what state are we in”

I made a Severance thread, if a mod wants to move past posts into it great, if not we can probably start from where we are.

I tried to watch the new OJ series on Netflix but there’s nothing to add, whole thing felt redundant, so I turned it off.
