yeah I got two episodes done so far and he’s brilliant
Watched all of S1 but just like Succession I think the optimal strategy here is to binge and pound the FF button for a lot of it most likely all Coolidge scenes.

Just finished season one of White Lotus and while I’m in the tiny minority I didn’t really get the appeal.

Also til that the Mike White who wrote and directed The White Lotus is actually Ned Schneebly from School of Rock, and he’s apparently written and directed a whole bunch of other things! Mind blown
The first season of the show is a statement about class. Rachel had the change of heart after a brief conversation with Belinda who just essentially rolled her eyes at the “dilemma” this beautiful rich young white woman was going to blow her life up over. This smashed Rachel into realizing the alternative to planning parties and being a trophy wife wasn’t worth it.

I mean yeah maybe. But I kind of got the vibe there at the very end that she is back because she realized she actually loves him and wants to spend the rest of her life with him, not that it is the far better long-term option for her objectively.

This is certainly possible too. Either way, Rachel would have to make it seem that it’s love that brings her back. But I still think the conversation with Belinda is the triggering event and the ultimate explanation.

Yeah, he’s flown way under the public’s radar until White Lotus. Among others, he wrote (not just acted in) School of Rock, Orange County, and Nacho Libre.
As statements about class Succession is so much more biting.
Anyway, I’m obviously in the minority but this just didn’t hit me.

Also, the first season of Enlightened was really good imo. Downhill from there.
