I’ve missed the white lotus train, should I watch S1 or just go straight to S2? seems like people are way more into S2 than I remember them being about S1.
S1 was good, I recommend watching it. I haven’t started S2 yet.
They can be watched completely independently. I like S2 better but they’re both worth watching.
S1 first. Its a quick binge.
Season one definitely worth watching. Season two is probably “better” but I might have enjoyed season one more. Season one was funnier imo.
I guess I am in the minority that I think S1 is much better.
Watching Archer season 13. And honestly it’s meh.
The supposed replacement for Malory’s character is insufferable and unfunny and when he’s not around, the show seems to lack any kind of direction or leadership (which they try to turn into jokes). Feels like they’re turning it into a formulaic sitcom rather than a show that’s going somewhere.
Jessica Walter is supremely missed on this show.
Yeah, exactly the same for me.
Gonna start soon, so I can sync my binge with the finale.
Before watching that episode, I had totally forgotten that Grumpy cat was her can. Also I had no idea he was no longer with us. RIP
Mind blown by the theory the finance bros wife was trying to tell Aubrey Plaza her trainer is the father (note the blue eyes thing). I think I’m in on this take.
I am not jiving with White Lotus. I’m through episode two but feel like I’m missing something. I hate these people. That’s fine, everyone in Succession is awful but this just seems like a less funny, less biting version of that great show.
Does it change?
You must change, young padawan.
(No)
I think that is clearly what they are going for, but it does seem a bit far fetched that someone would just volunteer that info to someone they just met a few days ago. They probably could have done it a bit more subtly. Like, if she was talking about the trainer and then got a text message with a photo from her kids and showed it to Harper.
I was mildly amused by S1 but “rich people are terrible” isn’t really something that does it for me on its own, there needs to be an actual plot and some quality scheming. Succession and Industry have that.
I’m on ep 4 and this is my take so far. This is no succession.
we are making our way through season one of white lotus, and i’m getting major big lebowski vibes at the comedy of the absurd
Murray Bartlett absolutely kills it in season one. He has no equivalent in season two.
i’d say to keep going, it just gets better and better.
He is the standout for sure.
Yeah, the first three seasons of Billions had this in spades. It did not hold
