I tapped out of Korean Money Heist after about a half hour. I try to avoid all info about shows I want to see and this one was no exception. I was expecting to be similar to the original. However, I didn’t realize that they were just remaking the original in Korean and keeping all of the details nearly identical.
Boys S3 and the finale delivered. A few cracks showing, but otherwise solid throughout.
The writing team going all in on Kevin being the most pathetic creature on earth is a lot of fun. That portrait at the end is all kinds of amazing

Really enjoyed the first two eps of Black Bird. Egerton is solid, but PWH stealing the show thus far. Such a great job of playing a psychopath.

The idea is to show a kitchen of people who love cooking food but are at the low end of the industry. The direction really nails it. Close ups of food cooking, but not in a food porn kind of way. Kinetic direction showing the chaos in the kitchen. The actors are good and the characters are good too. I’m rooting for all of them and want to know more. Will those donuts even get put on the menu? etc.
My only complaint is they occasionally lean into a gimmick of needing some drama for a beat and wring out something absurd, like spiking some drink with Vicodin.

Mayor of Kingstown and The Good Fight are probably my favorite originals. They also have the back catalog of OG MacGyver, Perry Mason, Twilight Zone, and basically all of the flavors of Star Trek if you want a bit of nostalgia (or maybe to catch up on some classics)

I liked it but it definitely didn’t wrap things up much.
I guess I just expected more chaos re: The Boys. Like Butcher taking permanent V and becoming the big bad. Homelander losing his powers due to Soldier Boy. The writers to not undo the entire arc of Butcher V Homelander because of a kid he doesn’t care about nearly as much as he hates Homelander. I dunno. Felt like by far the weakest episode of a good season.

I get some of that. One of my friends when we were talking about it also said he thought it was the weakest of the season.
Apparently S3 is the best season, but 1/2 were just mediocre imo. Could not care less what happens to anyone on the show.
