This is a straight up awful take. Simple minded purity bullshit. They literally spent 9/10 of their career talking about how dumb they were on that one album. They were teenagers at the time.

Context matters. It was meant to be a satire of bro culture. It was taken the wrong way and grew to something it wasnāt originally meant to be (including by them).

Definitely still worth watching. My first watch was only a couple of years ago and it honestly makes it hard to rewatch other shows because of how good it is.

Just finished Zerozerozero and yeah itās really good. Not a particularly easy watch, but very good. The European crime shows since Gomorrah have been incredibly strong. The biggest edge they have over US crime shows is that they donāt glamorize any of it at all. Very realistic.
EDIT: Turns out Zerozerozero and Gomorrah are by the same guyā¦ and (this I already knew) he needs serious security for life because of his relentless exposure of the day to day realities of organized crime.

Sopranos is my Jane Austen. I get the historical significance and what it did to transform storytelling. Itās obviously a great show. And yet Iāve never made it further than a few episodes. Just not for me. Feel the same way about Goodfellas so it really is a matter of taste.
