i have about an hour left to watch of part three. i can’t believe how much i’m looking forward to it. might be first show in a while i am going to rewatch
Watched Archer season 12
Nice to see them go back to their roots. Very good episodes the whole way.
I’m not optimistic about season 13 with Jessica Walter now dead.
After years of hearing @R.C go on about how great it is, I decided to finally take the plunge and watch The Shield.
It’s definitely entertaining. One thing that caught my attention is how many people on the show have some sort of accent. Maybe that’s actually realistic as there are so many transplants to the area? Is there even such a thing as an L.A. accent?
Realistic or not, it is very noticeable.
It’s pretty amazing to see the process of their songs coming together. I’m enjoying the series a whole lot.
I can’t WAIT to watch that. Huge Beatles fan.
I agree. For me I thought the story was amazing. The actor was great as a mumbling asshole cop who slowly gets pulled into searching for a serial killer and who eventually is undone by his actions to catch the killer. His confusion at another girl being killed after he killed the serial killer and his resignation when his partner drives him out to nowhere was a gut punch
It just had no business being in a series about narcos that already had a non narco but narco adjacent story about a newspaper.
The season was OK. I felt like it didn’t quite have oomph as the last seasons, mostly because I didn’t care the for the brother and sister narcos as much. The season felt like it was set up for the next season when the psycho Zeta stuff starts going down.
I haven’t seen this season yet but I’m a huge Narcos fan so I’ll get around to it soon enough. That said, Mayra Hermosillo is one of if not the most beautiful women on the planet. Come at me.
Yea I was crushing on her and Luisa Rubino pretty hard
Yeah, Beatles are my all-time favorite, been digging them since I was a little boy. Looking forward to seeing this.
I haven’t seen any of those (although I am planning to watch Reservation Dogs, and I keep forgetting Hacks exists but it might be up my alley too)
It’s possible, yeah. The Shield also definitely shows the gritty-underbelly side of L.A. you don’t see often in TV and film, and you get a blend of cultures in the competing gang factions.
And, yes, it’s definitely entertaining. It will eventually become great, then the greatest.
Pleasantly surprised to see Dickinson on that list. I absolutely love it, but I rarely hear anyone discuss it and kinda thought I was the only one who dug it’s weird sense of humor. I mean, any show that bases an episode around Emily Dickinson traveling through time to meet up with Sylvia Plath should have somewhat niche appeal, no?
Ted Lasso missing from this list is weird.
I enjoyed it. I knew absolutely nothing about the cartoon. It didn’t take itself too seriously and was relatively entertaining throughout. I liked the music and the cinematography really gave an anime feel, imo, despite pretty cheap production. I’d give it 3/5 stars
They’re making a miniseries out of this book? How?
You misspelled Pui Pui Molcar.
Isn’t it ideal for adaptation?
No? (Unless they want to change quite a lot from the book)
I’ll probably watch. Will be happy to be wrong.
I refuse to believe Ted Lasso is a real show. Apple TV+ has to be some sort of marketing psyop, nobody is paying for that shit are they?
I don’t see the problem. It’s a post apocalyptical running in parallel with the “before” timeline and then there’s a big reveal. It works as a TV series IMO. It’s basically a better version of Walking Dead, with a pandemic instead of a zombie apocalypse.
