Regina King also had a recurring role on The Big Bang Theory as an HR person who once had to listen to Sheldon tell her “…it’s just because you’re a slave to your uterus.”
Hulu
Southland was an excellent show with an outstanding cast. Only 30 some episodes. For all the fans of The Shield or Homocide
If I wanted to get into the MCU where the hell would I start? I have Disney+.
I think Iron Man started it all, right? I’m not the guy to ask though.
Yeah, pretty much have to start with that movie. Some are definitely skippable. The early thor movies are not good.
Here they are in order either by chronological or by release date. I’d go by release date, personally.
Iron Man AINEC
Well that’s certainly a bold choice for a show
Iron Man is so good. Adapted by Jon Favreau, the king pioneering The Mandalorian.
Step back with me to 2008. The MCU doesn’t exist. Iron Man isn’t terrible but he’s definitely not cool. Marvel only had his film rights because he came so cheap. They sold off almost everything else to remain solvent over the years. I mean the character had already been sold off to one major studio after another, and they’d all found the movie impossible to make. It cycled through Nicolas Cage and Tom Cruise and Quentin Tarantino and most absurd of all Nick Cassavetes.
The only reason Marvel even made Iron Man is because it was one of the only characters that hadn’t yet been made into a movie (because an Iron Man movie was either going to be terrible or hilarious but never good).
So when Marvel announced their first movie as Iron Man, people were rightly suspicious. Robert Downey Jr was cool but also seen as a horrible risk. And there were rumors that while there was something resembling a script, the actors were largely free to improvise and modify the story as they were shooting.
Then we saw the first trailer at Comic Con and we knew. Everyone just knew. First of all because it looked like so much fun even if the Iron Man part turned out to look goofy. No one had really gotten a good look at the hero in action until this trailer, but once you get to our first real shot at 3:40…
They are definitely bottom-tier MCU, but even that’s still entertaining.
I’ve watched most of the MCU films. They are all entertaining, but two of the films in the group stand out above the rest as just phenomenal movies that were an experience to watch. #1 is Iron Man. A close second is Black Panther.
What’s top #3?
What are your bottom three?
Honestly, just watch Iron Man and the Captain America and then you’re all set to watch The Avengers.
After those 2 the rest sort of blend together. I remember Avengers and Guardians of the galaxy being particularly good. The Iron Man sequels were a bit of a let down after the awesomeness of 1.
Then watch Ant Man 1+2, Guardians 1, and Black Panther and you’re all set for Infinity War.
Uhhh
Iron man 1
Thor 1
Every captain america
Every “avengers”
Optional: guardians, spiderman, antman, the rest.
