The Television Streaming Thread: Now With Felonies

More like Tacoma is being used as a follow up to Jokers.

It’s pretty much their flagship show. About 90% of their programming is Jokers/Carbannaro/Adam ruins everything.

Their other original programming is pretty good though, including I’m Sorry and Tacoma FD (though I found it surprisingly not funny, unfortunately.) And I’m one of the guys who thoroughly enjoyed Beerfest and have seen it multiple times.

Yeah, “lead-in” there means trying to boost Tacoma’s audience with Impractical Jokers viewers.

TruTV seems pretty happy with Tacoma, at least. Gave it a “talking about” show after this season and already renewed it for season 3.

You’re right. Fuck it’s been so long since my media classes. I’ve heard it in other ways too, where the lead in show is supposed to gain viewers because of the follow up show. They would always call Futurama or King of the Hill in the 7:30 slot the lead in to The Simpsons.

Any idea who is hosting the Talking About show?

Also, heres to hoping Chris Hardwick copyrighted the “Talking about” idea because he is rolling in it now if he did.

Oh, I don’t know if that’s like an official term, I just couldn’t think of a term for following a show that didn’t sound weird to me.

The talk show afterward is called Talkoma FD and it’s hosted by Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme.

Wild Things is leaving Prime in 7 hours and 32 minutes.

Why are you still here?

I’ve seen it. It’s not good. It’s entirely predictable

Looking that up sounds good. Now I have to find i.

With Denise Richards? Man, I saw that in the theater back whenever the hell it came out. I had to wait for things to calm down in my pants before I could leave the movie without an indecency charge.

Small Axe by Steve McQueen. 5 episodes that are really 5 separate movies. The first one, Mangrove, is the only one I’d truly recommend. The other 4 are OK, not bad, but feel like they were missing something to push them over the edge to being good.

I want to like that movie, but it came out only a couple of months before Matt Dillon gave a career-making turn in There’s Something About Mary. I cannot see 90s era Dillon as anything other than a mustachioed buffoon.

It’s strange to see her in Wild Things and Starship Troopers and think wow, I’ll bet she has a big career ahead of her…!

Not that she hasn’t done well for herself. Just not what I expected.

When was the last time you watched it? I tried like hell to watch the Brosnan films again and good lord are they campy. I remember when Goldeneye was seen as the gritty reboot.

It’s been 10+ years, I was a young teenager when those came out and enjoyed them but I’m not a big Bond guy now. World is Not Enough video game for N64 was fun

You should’ve seen her on Real Housewives! Yes, I’m addicted to Bravo shows. My wife got me hooked and now I probably watch more than she does.

Most of the Brosnan films were terrible, but Goldeneye was great. It probably was sort of gritty compared to the Roger Moore Bond movies that came before, lol. If you don’t want campy stuff, the pre-Craig Bond movies are not for you.

I’m imagining her spending all year just trying to get you excited for the Super Bowl, but all you’ll talk about is the rumored crossover between Real Housewives of Atlanta with Real Housewives of Dallas. THIS MEANS WAR!!111!!!

Are you a 90 Day Fiancee fiend? Married at First Sight binger?
