It’s funny and stays at the same level of quality as that initial impression
In which Matthew McConaughey reveals that while filming Dazed and Confused, he was smoking oregano and pretending to be high except one scene when the director slipped a real joint to him and didn’t say anything…
The cool thing about getting old is being able to watch young people like this go from True Grit to Pitch Perfect to starring in a tentpole MCU series.
I do. And I’m delighted for her to star in it.
We already have the Arrow show! Who needs another archery-based superhero?
People who’ve read comic books starring Kate Bishop do.
Arrow ended.
Green Arrow is basically like Batman only he has friends and a hot girlfriend.
Fyp
When I was a kid Hawkeye was one of the most popular Avengers. I’m sure he’s got a big following.
My arrow thing only holds 11
That. And general audiences will convert their affection for Arrow to Hawkeye.
And Disney/Marvel is thinking long-term. I would do the same in their position. If they want to continue the same cinematic universe, they have to expand the stories to feature different versions of characters that can be played by younger actors. This is smart for the money crunchers as well as the people who just want to tell good MCU stories.
Hailee Steinfeld is an inspired choice. Her star has grown every year. She now has a massive acting, singing, and modeling career. She will bring in people who never would have watched an MCU movie. Old Jeremy Renner can cameo whenever while Hailee retains the role for at least a decade. By then either the MCU will have proven it can survive such massive character transitions or it will have been long enough for some sort of reboot.
News is that the new Flash movie will now include Linda Carter, the original live-action Wonder Woman actress. I am all for this but lol at every studio cashing in on the multiverse strategy.
What’s next? A movie where Arnold and Stallone are hunting each other in the Amazon?
Where Patrick Bateman, The Terminator, Tony Montana, John Wick, and more must choose a side?
Where it’s revealed every car chase in every movie took place at the same time in the same movie?
When Skynet found itself facing more obsolete technology than a T-800 when the Terminator faced off against Robocop?
That the Ridley Scott Cinematic Universe means Alien and Blade Runner take place in the same timeline?
Now what? They’ll remake American Psycho and then we’ll find out it’s the exact same movie, except this time they’re arguing about cats?
Or how about a Home Alone/Schitt’s Creek cinematic universe

That twitter thread should be enough to get Kevin Zak a writing job at Netflix in a vacuum. The best thing about it is that the entire thing can get done in real life at a very reasonable price and makes a lot of money.
Gotta throw Saw in there as well
Kevin grows up to become Jigsaw. Calling it.
lol, CW did it better with Linda Carter as the POTUS.
