Yeah the great thing about Breaking Bad is that Walt doesnāt change at all. The show just slowly reveals that heās always been a bitter, self-destructive, petty, malignant narcissist. Him cooking meth just amped it up a bit.
Still rooted for him the whole way through, Team Walt to the death.

Yep. Like my critic friend said, itās not a tragedy but a supervillain origin story. And a key part of the origin story is that the supervillainās powers were always present within him, he just needed to activate them. The story is less Walt changing into a monster and more Walt shedding his socially acceptable persona to become who he always was.
